This was the first song I wrote in 2017 that I was happy with. The first line popped into my head and by the time I got home, it had practically already written itself. That doesn't happen to me that often, but it's always a treat when it does.

If I have a wheelhouse, this song is probably in it. It's called "A Sad Song." It's about loss and it's about songwriting. It's also a little more country than some of my other stuff. I hope you like it.
